Types of Bikini Waxes
Have you wondered what it is like to have a Brazilian wax done? Will it be awkward? Will my aesthetician judge me? I’m here to guide you step-by-step through your very first Brazilian wax experience at The Skin & Wax Co.! Before we start, run through a brief overview of the three types of bikini services that we offer.

Bikini Line Wax
This service includes a three-finger width amount of hair that falls outside the natural underwear line. The bikini line wax also includes a strip on top of the underwear line. This service is a nice way to tidy things up along the natural lines of your underwear.

Bikini Full Wax
This includes as little or as much hair as you would like to take off in the front. The bikini full can be performed with or without your underwear on, if you choose to leave your underwear on, you will be asked to move them side-to-side for your aesthetician.

Brazilian Wax
Hands down this service attracts the most questions, and rightfully so! The Brazilian wax includes as much or as little hair as you would like to take off in the front and also the butt strip. I know… everyone always cringes at the latter part! But did you know Brazilians have been the most booked service at The Skin & Wax Co. for 9 years?!
The Process
Step One: Book the appointment!
I promise that your aesthetician’s job is to perform a service they are highly skilled at. We are a judgment-free zone and happily welcome any newcomers. After your appointment is booked, you will receive detailed instructions on how to locate The Skin & Wax Co. No one likes being lost on their way to an appointment, so we make sure you won’t have to!
Step Two: Dress Comfortably.
Show up to your first Brazilian wax in comfortable, loose-fitting attire. You will be greeted by a friendly aesthetician who will have a questioner and address any contraindications or concerns before the wax.
Step Three: Let's Get Started.
Undress accordingly to the service that you would like done. Your aesthetician will stay in the room during this process, this can be a tad uncomfortable for some newcomers but we turn around and use this time to prep for the service while giving you a little privacy.
Step Four: Take a Deep Breath.
Let your aesthetician do her magic! Take a deep breathe! Some pain during any waxing experience is to be expected. We will regularly check in on you and see if the temperature of the wax is ok and how you are tolerating the service. The process takes anywhere from 15-30 minutes, we like to use this time to get to know our clients, as well as educate them on wax frequency and home care. The heart of our business is to make YOU feel comfortable.
Step Five: You Did It!
You did it! Hop on up and get dressed! Clients often express that the wax wasn’t nearly as bad as they had made it out in their heads to be! We can then decide what home care is right for you and prebook your next appointment! It's a huge plus if you go leave an honest review on how your first bikini wax went.
